Lovingly restored and displayed, the 1887 gates to the previous Salters Hall were saved after the Blitz destroyed that building and stand outside the new(ish) hall. The motto means "salt seasons everything" and is said to have been intended to apply to conversation rather than the condiment.
Appreciated on a Thursday walk with Utata, a day-tripper at dusk in the City of London - saving the images as the low light season comes to an end, thinking it will motivate more effort next winter...
