Siberian Wallflower (Cheiranthus allionii, Erysimum x marshallii)

Sian Matthews

The clear orange flowers of the Siberian Wallflower are easily grown from seed and have naturalised in my garden from sowings five years ago, here in an inch-wide crack between the wall and a paving slab by the back door...
Gardeners know it as Cheiranthus allionii and it is often referred to as an American native but our botanical authority Stace uses the name Erysimum x marshallii - E. decumbens x E. perofskianum) and says it is probably of garden origin.
