October Sky

JoLynne Martinez

Photographed in response to the Our Daily Challenge theme prompt: OCTOBER 4 - 10th October. Our inspiration was a poem:
October
by James Schuyler
(1923-1991)

Books litter the bed,
leaves the lawn. It
lightly rains. Fall has
come: unpatterned, in
the shedding leaves.

The maples ripen. Apples
come home crisp in bags.
The pear tastes good.
It rains lightly on the
random leaf patterns.

The nimbus is spread
above our island. Rain
lightly patters on un-
shed leaves. The books
of fall litter the bed.

(As with all my work, constructive critique is welcome, and faves are appreciated.)
