Utata Thursday Walk 806
Today is landmark day. In Canada, it's National Truth and Reconciliation Day. It was made into a federal statutory holiday and was one of the 94 recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, a commission that examined the relationship between, the Canadian state, the Indigenous peoples of Canada, and Canadian Settlers in general. It set a framework for recognizing the colonization of Indigenous people, the harms visited upon them by the Canadian government, the discrimination and racism of settlers towards Indigenous people, and provided a set recommendations for reconciliation. Hopefully, we can build a new future. It will take time, but I believe it's a worthy project.
So, it's also Thursday, and we do a Utata Thursday Photo Walk. Tag your photos with utata:project=tw806 and post one small image in this thread.
