Record Snowfall

JoLynne Martinez

My walking today has been back and forth in my driveway shoveling snow. Because of the drifting, it's difficult to say exactly how much we got. My yardstick measures just under six inches in some places and up to seven inches in others. At the airport, which is where the official measurements are taken, they calculated seven inches (17.78 cm), which beats the previous record recorded back in 1893.

Here's a link to the video I took earlier today while the snow was still falling: www.flickr.com/photos/inannabintali/51888205839

Photographed for the Utata group's Thursday Walk.

As with all my work, constructive critique is welcome, and faves are appreciated.

Day 48 of 365

NOTE: Although this image was Explored (#354), I have asked Flickr to remove it. This is a serviceable snapshot. It is not an example of my best work.
