Well, it's the Dog Days of August. Baseball is nearing its last 50+ games toward the playoffs. It could be sweltering even more if it ain't already. But, weirdly, no major hurricanes yet. The Perseids meteor shower in less than two weeks is bound to bring the thrills. Vacations are in full swing or winding down depending on when they were taken. And it's Thursday.
