Another One Drives the Bus

Linus Gelber

I've never been to the Children's Museum of Manhattan before, which isn't all that surprising, what with me not actually having children. It's a fun place, and we catch it on a pretty well-behaved day.

The main exhibit right now is on Ancient Greece. It's pretty interesting and it's nicely done, but it involves more reading and attention than nephew Eli can bring to bear. He's excited to be back in New York and surrounded by Uncle Linus and the rest of the family, so he's more about zooming than pondering. Upstairs we find some age-inappropriate transit toys, a taxi and a city bus, and steer furiously for a bit. Eli has nearly as much fun as we do, and gets rambunctious spinning the bus wheel this way and that. I've seen worse on the streets, though.
