Taken at the Whitewater wildlife refuge near Elfrida, Arizona. One of several locations in Southeastern Arizona that serve as winter migratory sites for the Sandhill Cranes.. The water which looks very expansive in this shot is only about 10 to 12 inches deep. We had 2 days of good rain which causes this area's water surface to expand significantly for a brief time.
