Chicago Dreams: Urgent Emergence

Meera Sethi

We're back from Chicago and we have ourselves a new place! We thought we would end up in a 9th floor apartment in a concrete toaster-oven designed by the great I.M. Pei before he truly came into his talent, but it turned out that a sunny, window-ful second story walk up in a lovely brick building on a tree-lined street was calling our name. It'll be a longer walk to the bus for me, a shorter walk to school for Ross, and very close to the best produce store in the neighborhood. We already know they sell cheap, delicious blueberries.

While we were there we stayed in the University's International House, which has great wooden doors.
