all wrapped up in myself

tamelyn feinstein

Once upon a time, I had the most amazing dream -- I dreamed I was having a solo art show titled "My Entire Life Is A Work In Progress." The only piece in my show was an enormous coat that I had painted and beaded and embroidered with bits and pieces of my life: my history, my dreams, my friends, my children. The coat was the road map of my inner self, and I had spent all the days of my life adding to it.

I woke up inspired by that dream, and I started thinking: what would it look like if we all wore outer representations of the things we carry around inside us? If our dreams and fears became cloaks and garments, what would they be? How would we dress if we could wrap ourselves in our selfs?
