Transitions are fascinating. From dark to light. Night to day, or as in this case, day to night. The in-between times are otherworldly, giving us photographers the 'magic hour'. I think this fascination comes in part from the difficulties in cause and effect rationality. Even though I know that the sun is going to set, there's this odd feeling that maybe this night something else will happen. Just because it has happened every night before doesn't mean that it will tonight. Transitions are all about possibility, and because of that mysterious and exciting.
