The unblinking gaze of the camera paints colors where the eye sees simple grays and pale night. The Brooklyn waterfront doesn't give up a lot of chances at an unencumbered view of Manhattan island, so I turn to the sky, where the 9/11 Tribute in Light beams climb serenely high over an Atlantic Avenue traffic light pole.
