The Municipal Building in downtown Manhattan has beautiful details all over its facade, and it's infested with the sorts of brain-dead security guards who come running out to protect us all against terrorism by stopping me from shooting the light fixtures and cornices and the like.

The downtown side of the building has a remarkable swooped and tiled vault ceiling over the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge subway station. Its patterns are irresistible.
