Saw the Radiation Oncologist doc today; the one that looks like he stepped right out of GQ magazine. Gleaming white teeth in a perfect tan. He said that the burning I'm showing is quite normal, as are the shooting pains I've been having around the surgery site. He told me that the nerves that were severed around the surgery site were being irritated by the radiation. Odd, I thought. Also odd to show such personal things to a complete stranger with such sparkling teeth. We put such trust in our doctors, really.
