Revealed and broken

Eggs, they must be freed from their shell. Yet it's a harsh thing, unfriendly sometimes, the yolks end up broken. The whites spilled haphazardly about even. Dropped in a bowl, they have no say, as they are soon beaten, stirred and not only broken, but utterly lost in the mix.

But their essense is all through, making the souffle or omelette a true thing of beauty. Little do they know the value of their sacrifice.
