Yeah, they're socks. Just finished knitting them.

Knitting socks seems to be something people either 'get' right away or never understand. Socks are so humble, after all, so easily worn out and tossed away. Why would any sane person put so much work into knitting something like that?

It's probably crazy. But it makes for a (relatively) fast and easy knit, they're satisfying, and hey, just look at the yarn! Isn't that just too cool the way the colors flow through the socks?

I'm going to send these off to my friend who wears socks to bed. I haven't talked to her in far too long and she's been going through some rough times. Maybe hand-knit sleep socks will keep her from having any bad dreams, the same way they worked for Casey.
