The Ontario Veterans' Memorial, inaugurated in the fall of 2006, incorporates photographs from Canadian military activity since Confederation. This portion of the memorial shows Canadians in battle in the First World War (I believe the site was Vimy Ridge, France). There are three living veterans of the First World War in Canada today, November 10, 2006. They are Percy Dwight Wilson, 105, and Lloyd Clemett and John Babcock, both 106. A Dominion Institute online petition to give a state funeral to the last of these three men to die has gathered over 43,000 signatures as I write this: www.dominion.ca/petition/
