Black Thumb - Iron Photographer 9 - Utata

Amarand Agasi

Green plants in my house
Photosynthesis for days
And yet, they still die

1 - an indoor plant ("I don't know, we've had it for awhile.")
2 - some string (made into a noose)
3 - b&w (I love the Adobe Lightroom B&W mixing tool)

It's ironic that I'm claiming I kill all the plants, but sometimes, plants survive despite me.

After four and a half years since my last post in the "vintage" section of Iron Photographer, I'm back, baby!

Technical details:

I still own my Canon 7D and my Nikon D70, but I prefer my lightweight mirrorless camera these days - the Fuji X-T2 - and my favorite lens the Fuji 16mm f/1.4. It has macro capabilities (the ability to get REALLY CLOSE to your subject) but also it's a wide angle lens.

With the focus assist (it zooms in the screen to the active focusing area, even in full manual focus mode) I can get things pretty crisp.

I did this one handheld at an angle, with light streaming in from the bay window. Shot in RAW, of course, with black and white mixing done in Adobe Lightroom.
