fierce and glow(er)ing

My son's swim team is called the Tiger Sharks. For this shot I asked him to pose "like a shark -- give me a look that would intimidate your competitors."

So here he shows off his fierce "game face" before he competes.

I was duly impressed, until he informed that he wasn't trying to look tough. "It was so bright outside," he said. "I was just squinting at the sun."

Right after I snapped this photo he dissolved into goofy giggling laughter.
