Ever since we found out Nicole was pregnant -- again! -- we've been talking about taking a picture that would serve as an announcement for some of our online friends. This shirt seemed like a fun way to do that.

We went to the park and took a lot of pictures, but everything looked so ... stiff, formal, self-conscious. Finally she sat down to take a break, and for the hell of it I stood up on the bench next to her and started shooting downwards. In this shot, the last one I took, she had finally forgotten what we were doing and was laughing genuinely -- I think at something Maddie said, off camera.

I really like this picture of her. She looks like herself in it.
