Hiya, Hewlett-Packard! (The foolishness of the "Slimming Effect")

I was delighted to discover that Hewlett-Packard's digital cameras now offer an automatic slimming feature--oh, the humanity! I didn't stop laughing for at least fifteen minutes (outright roaring for thirty seconds, intermittent squawks for the next forty-five, and sporadic chuckles for the remainder.)

As soon as the hilarity subsided, I just had to try it out for myself. Of course, I haven't got a Hewlett-Packard camera, so I had to do it the old-fashioned way. I think I broke my spleen. Ow.
