My grandfather, a man I never got the chance to meet due to his early passing. But his daughther is my mother, a very good woman indeed. This photo is undated and I'm not sure when it was originally taken.

A salute to him, and to my father, also a veteran, and to all, on this Memorial Day 2007.

This is actually a photo of a photo, not a scan.

If anyone can tell me what the patch on his sleeve is, that would be great. He passed away many years ago and no one in my family seems to know. (A Google search tells me it's the patch of the 2nd Infantry Division (or Indian Head), U.S. Army. If anyone can confirm, that would be great!
