Descent

Meera Sethi

It has been raining in Boston since Friday night, without a let up. It gets heavier or lighter, you get wetter hair or drier, but the rain hasn't stopped for a moment since it started.

I took a series of photographs at and around South Station on Friday in the late afternoon and evening, before the rain had started properly and during a magical period when everything was shrouded in fog and acting a little more mysterious for it. For a few hours, Boston looked like the city I sometimes dream of.
