Can't Sleep; Cat Will Eat Me

Ryan Brenizer

All this reading through the Strobist group got me thinking about flash, and that it's been too long since I just messed around with a camera. There was no ambient light for this shot. After releasing the shutter, I took my SB-600 in hand, with a sheet of paper wrapped around it as a tight snoot, or light funnel, and fired the test flash 30 times, 10 on each side and 10 in the middle, to get the dramatic lighting.

I processed this with Capture NX. I had a great time with the U-points on this image, but it is still too slow to save a file. I don't think I'll pay for it this go-round, but I'll give it a look again when they come out with a Universal Binary version for Intel Macs. (By which time I will hopefully have an Intel Mac.)

The real question is why a grown man has a Nekobasu from Tonari no Totoro in his room.
