unwish through curving wherewhen till unwish

Ryan Brenizer

Right, right, I know what I said, but work continues apace.

Yesterday, my boss asked me if I could illustrate a column in one of our publications. The column begins with a long anecdote about a Rip Van WInkle-figure who gets zapped from 1980 to the present day, and is stunned by how rapidly the world has changed. Of course, it being the workday, I neither had an attractive location (or even one shut off from ambient light so I could go all arty) or any props, so I cobbled together a still life from what was readily accesible.

Note the canny obscuring of the Starbucks logo. The Powerbook and Motorola logos will be easy to take off in post-production.

While I'm here, a plea: Does anyone know of places in New York that do large printing and foam-core mounting with good quality for cheap? Duggal was way too expensive -- this is being paid for by a non-profit, not Daddy Warbucks.
