Ceiling of the Water Temple

Beckett Gladney

I went for a walk after a drive today. The Water Temple was built sometime in the thirties by the Army Corps of Engineers, I believe, and serves as a pumping station for the irrigation water in the open fields around the area. The odd thing is how ornately it's decorated; it's a pumping station for water. Though out here water is a resource that people fight bitterly over.
