Reb

David Elliott

Reb has been a fixture around Halifax for many years, zooming about on his motorized wheelchair with his leather Confederate cap on his head. He sets himself up every day down on the waterfront with a pail to collect change from people. If you look carefully at the round badge on his cap, you will see it reads "Ontario Games for the Physically Disabled". Reb has been all over the place as a member of a disabled lawn bowling team and they have done quite well for themselves. Despite spending his whole life in a body twisted by cerebral palsy, I have never seen him unhappy. He was very happy to have his picture taken and put on his best smile and gave me a thumbs up.
