These are some of the folks who have kept me going since my diagnosis. The machinery may be high-tech, but the people who operate it are ordinary people. They may be a bit kinder than most, because they are used to dealing with people in pain, in trouble, in bad health, or in situations not of their choosing. This pair got a kick out of my desire to take a picture, and they posed willingly. Their only request was that I send them a copy to put on the bulletin board you can see in the background. Who could resist such smiles?
