Railroad X'ing

Patrick Power

Two sets of train tracks cross each other not far from where I live. I hear trains go by probably every fifteen to twenty minutes every day. It's quite like music to my ears as I grew up along the east shore of Maumee River in Toledo, which had (at that time) several train lines which followed the river's bend on both sides of the river. Trains rumbling by and tug boats belching their deep, dark tones in the middle of the night were everday (and night) sounds.

Original size.
