Shoes and Shadow Shoes

Linus Gelber

This weekend's Utata mini-project is "In the Air" - we are to shoot objects hurled skyward, before they fall to ground.

Oddly enough, this is a bit daunting for the citybound - in these parts, things thrown skyward tend to fall hard.

Out at our local park, I spend a brisk few minutes before brunch with camera in hand, trying to capture the moment of jumping. This is trickier than it sounds. Soon I'll take to leaping off the benches.

The park was quite peaceful before I arrived - chilly but sunny, temperate enough for a coated hang if not for a longer laze. The people on the benches try really hard to pretend that I don't exist. Ultimately, they are not successful.
