On the way home from London. it is cheaper to fly halfway across the world than to travel by train from Cheshire to London (£334 day return). HUGE mistake de-nationalising the railways. Timetables make no sense, trains ALWAYS late, random cancellations to make life interesting for travellers ...
But the shareholders are making a lot of money, so it must be okay.
