That Old Tree
As Rene Magritte would say Ceci n’est pas un pipe, or un arbre in this case.
This is not a tree – this is a symbol of hope.
Stefan’s tree has been featured on the Front Page before. Today That Old Tree is bursting with optimism. The sunlight has broken through and last week’s snow has thawed. There is someone in the distance walking our way — who knows what good news they will bring.
And though the tree is bare of leaves and we know that there is a cold winter coming, there is hope in the rays of sun, and in the figure who walks towards us, instead of turning away.
