"Abduction to Olympus" (German: "Entführung auf dem Olymp") is the official name for this popular sculpture on Zurich 's lake shore or simply "Ganymede". This statues represents Zeus as an eagle who comes to carry the young and most handsome boy away to Olympus. Ganymede was considered the most beautiful of all mortals. He was son of Tros Phrygerkönig or the Trojan King Laomedon. Zeus fell in love with Ganymede and took him to Olympus, making him immortal.
