Amalgamated Widgets (album sleeve)
Cale: We feel very strongly what we created, especially for this project, sounds purer on vinyl, less technologically perfect. It’s an aesthetically important aspect of the band. Bits and bytes are fine, but can end up making music sound way too compartmentalized. And we don’t want that to whatever extent possible.
Smith: Don’t forget our blatant attempt to corner the crazy, vinyl buying Baby Boomer demographic.
Cale: Yeah, there’s that too.
