my polaroid summer

I planned to shoot a lot of polaroid this summer.

I figured this would be my last chance, given the Polaroid announcement this winter: no more film. I've already dealt with the disappearance of SX-70, now Spectra and 600 and the remaining peel-apart film crew will vanish.

Summer seemed a good subject: it's fleeting, it's colorful, and for me it conjures up a certain amount of nostalgia. I channel my childhood when I go to the beach, remembering when I had seemingly endless days off and a very good tan.

My grandmother had a polaroid, so I have a few summer snaps from back then. I wanted a few more, from now. Like Lisa's legs, poolside on our vacation.
