Diva

It's about performance — live performance, the very act of performing. It doesn't matter what's being performed. Dance, theater, song, pantomime. It doesn't matter if the performer is a professional, a student, a total amateur, or just somebody who has been touched by the gods of the moment. What matters is that a live performance is inherently risky; it always contains an element of chance. No matter how practiced you are, no matter how confident you are, you can still misplace a foot, still hit the wrong note, still forget a lyric. The hallmark of a diva isn't arrogance — it's courage.
