Someone To Watch Over You

This vigilance is familiar to all those of us who have children: the head above the crowd, the alert eyes, the position on the periphery. We keep our young, by design or default, where we can see them, push them from harm’s way or jump in front of it ourselves, as needs be. The nurturing and protecting of their young is one of the few common behaviors amongst all of the earth’s animals, including the human variety. This is not a moral imperative, it is an instinctive one. It’s all about the love, baby.
