Scooter

Okay, I’m gonna let you take this picture. I’m gonna sit on this stool and I’ll be still long enough for you to get what you want. But I’m only doing it because I owe you, you understand what I’m saying? You feed me. And I appreciate that, I really do. But dude, this is not what I’m all about.

I’m a terrier. You know what that means? Do you have any clue at all what that means? It means I’m an earth dog. Chien terrier, dog of the earth. You know why they call us that? Well, pay attention because I’m gonna tell you. They call us that because terriers hunt other animals inside the earth, in their burrows. Foxes, badgers…you name it, we go in after it. You think that’s easy? Would you be willing to crawl head-first into a hole in the ground knowing you were going to come up against a badger? No, I didn’t think so.

I’m telling you this for one reason. Given a choice between sitting still on this stool and chasing a badger down under the earth, I’d go with the badger. But I like you. You been good to me. So here I am. I’m doing this for you. But the next badger, squirrel, rat, or SUV I chase after is going to pay dearly for it.

Just so we’re clear on that.
