small landscapes

These are the little landscapes of overlooked hummocks and tussocks, lumps and undulations. A world in miniature, where the sun rises just the same as it does upon wide oceans. And the same snow falls on shrubs as on mountain tops.

These are the small spaces where wind susurrates through bush and bracken while in the background trees sway to a terrifying breeze.

These are the small landscapes which are often overlooked as we rush from hither to thither and back again, but deserve so much more than just a cursory glance.
