Electronic

This week we published our  Summer Big  Project – Utata Goes Mobile. There are so many amazing entries it’s almost impossible to pick one from all of them. But we are bound by the rules of the Front Page – and though you may not have read the rules you may know that we can only bring you one photo at a time. Unless we get a little help from the photographer – then we’re able to stretch the rules a little and bring you two in one. Just like this self-portrait and reflection.

Here’s the concept – Clara’s interpretation of  ironic :

to collect as many items as i could carry and would not even try on normally, because of their material or style.

then try to take a picture in a changing room

Each one of her photos are different facets of a person that only exists for a split moment. Not her choice of clothes. The slicing line separating Clara from her reflection, which in turn is split as though it’s about to be struck out from the frame.  Electronic Clara replaced by rock Clara, replaced by hip hop Clara. And so it goes on. Simple concept, simple composition. But oh so clever.

So set aside some time to take a long look at the whole set and the rest of the great contributions to Utata Goes Mobile. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
