Doesn’t it make you smile? The woman and the tree?
Her pose–one leg casually slid under the other–echoes the roots of the tree. Like the tree, she’s still–quiet. Like her, the tree is discreetly busy–silently downloading nutrients from the soil, soundlessly transferring packets of light through its leaves, quietly uploading oxygen to the environment.
They’re the same, in many ways, these two. They’re simply operating at different speeds. And doesn’t it make you smile?
