INT. HOUSE — DAY
CLOSE ON raindrops pebbled on a window, through which we see the vague, blurred shape of two trees — one tall, one short. Each raindrop is a tiny lens, inverting the scene in miniature. The sound of wind GUSTING outside is a counterpoint to the HISS and GRUMBLE of coffee brewing.
Telephone RINGS.
FEMALE VOICE (OFF-SCREEN)
Let it go to voicemail.
Camera slowly pulls back. ANGLE ON the silhouette of a woman standing to one side of the window, looking out.
MALE VOICE (OFF-SCREEN)
Why?
The woman does not turn toward the voice. A man ENTERS the scene and stands beside her. One tall, one short.
WOMAN
We need to talk.
