When you reach the fairy-dock, stop. Take off your shoes. It won’t work if your feet aren’t touching wood.
Breathe deep and let the green and the blue fill your lungs, threaded with the tendrils of wild flowers and leaves returning to the damp. The moss will whisper; ignore it. (It tends to lie.)
