Happy Furry Friday

There are many things in life that would make my day better.

Dressing like a three year old, without risking an intervention from caring friends who don’t understand the value of comfort, colour and dinosaur rain-boots.

My daughter having an orthodontist who didn’t take off every Thursday and Friday so that there was a snowball’s chance in hell that they could fix the broken work they did on Wednesday and my kid would be able to talk before next Monday.

A bedroom barista with a perfectly tuned, gleaming La Marzocco. (I really only need him for weekend lie-ins).

What does this have to do with Louise’s cat in a bag, picture, you may ask. As a cat person I would welcome a delivery service that provided me with an affectionate, compliant, soothing cat every time I was stuck in a long checkout line, on hold to a call centre, or just feeling a bit sorry for myself. A warm, soft, purring feline friend, to lower my blood pressure and make me feel all benevolent.

But cats so absolutely understand the rules of supply and demand, that I’m more likely to get a call-back from the orthodontist. Happy Furry Friday.
