Jude Marion

In the year 1049 CE, the fourth year of Eishō (in the Heian period), the poet Sagami wrote this:

Before I know it
In my heart, sky-bound
Is my love
Above the high peak of Fuji
Hanging with the clouds so white

967 years later, Jude Marion unintentionally interpreted Sagami’s poem. There is no Fuji, and yet before I know it in my heart, I find myself sky-bound, hanging with the clouds.
