Looming Magnificently

There is a moment before the rain comes when the light flows in a certain way. When the clouds boil and bubble before the thunder rumbles and the lightning flickers.

It is a moment to stop and savour, drink in the light, feel the tension in the air.

But don’t stay too long because soon the rain will be falling, pitting the sand and lashing against the bare skin of your arms and legs.

Dash for cover, seek some shelter and breathe in deep, inhaling beautiful petrichor scent of rain on a hot summer’s day.
