Is a weed no more than a  garden plant in the wrong place. Is a garden plant just a weed cultivated in a good spot.

Snow makes a backdrop of white, developing shadows from the dried out stems and seed heads that have made it through autumn and winter. These wild plants are ready to drop to the ground when the thaw comes and wait for spring to warm the soil, so that they can begin all over again.

Is winter no more that spring from another person’s point of view. There are parts of the world that have never seen snow. They cannot complain about the lateness of winter that keeps others on their toes while they wait for summer warmth. Can you truly appreciate the heat of a summer’s day if you’ve never felt the crunch of snow underfoot in late spring?
