Long after the last of the treats have been scoffed and the tricks have been played on the last day of October, there will be a leftover pumpkin.

Hang on to that moment. Embrace that warm glow of autumnal afternoon light. Arrange crispy brown leaves in those dainty glasses without thinking of the candlelit dinners yet to come. But for now, don’t bake that pumpkin into a pie. Hold onto fall as long as you can.

Soon enough Thanksgiving will be over and winter will hit you full-face like an icy punch. Clocks will be burned, mistletoe will be hung and glühwein will be shared just to get you through those coldest, darkest of hours.
