lowcountry reverie

my life is beginning to feel like the Groundhog Day movie

Feet, a cat, and a [fill in the blank]. I take this photo (well, not this photo; this photo was taken by the always delightful Pam Ullman) at least three or four times a week. I’ve taken this photo (see the disclaimer above) for years. Only, you know, with my feet and with the cat that lives here. It’s what you do when you have feet and share space with a cat,

When Pam says her “life is beginning to feel like the Groundhog Day movie” I understand what she means. Every day…every day without fail…there will be a conjunction involving feet, cat, and a [fill in the blank]. It is inevitable, yet unpredictable. It always happens, but never in exactly the same way. It is a daily example of the same spontaneous singularity which gave rise to the origin of the universe.

Except with feet. And a cat. And a [fill in the blank].
