We are in a time of noticing the little things in life.

The way that fallen petals from a cherry tree echo the pattern on a child’s blanket.  How the colours of the mother’s shoes contrast with the lawn. How the gentle spring light casts no shadows.

This was taken back in April. Perhaps by now life has assumed a faster pace for both mother and child.

Perhaps they look back to the quiet time of spring and miss the cherry blossom. Although life begins a new normal, there may be nostalgia for recent old times.
